The latest addition to the website is my review of Mexican author Yuri Herrera's short story, The Heart's Secret Moves.
The Heart's Secret Moves is the story of a wrestler who becomes enamoured with the use of excessive force outside of the ring. Specifically, murder. Herrera twists this idea by making it into a story of the character's gradual enlightenment (toward murdering, not away).
You can read the review here.
The Heart's Secret Moves is a short story from the Words Without Borders March 2012 issue, The Mexican Drug War.
Full disclosure: I assisted in a minor way with funding this issue via Kickstarter. I did not, however, have any involvement with the issue beyond that.
